Our event last August: Ayurveda Joint Health Care & Wellness Camp at Om Ashram

From 1 to 3 August 2026, the Three-Day Ayurveda Joint Health Care & Wellness Camp took place at Om Ashram in Jadan, Rajasthan. The programme was specially curated by Dr. Sushrut S. Sardeshmukh, PhD (Ayurveda), and his team from the BSDT Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Pune.
The camp was organised by Om Ashram and carried out by the Ayurveda Academy of Yoga in Daily Life (AYAC) in collaboration with the Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust (BSDT) – a joint project that brought authentic Ayurveda into the peaceful atmosphere of the Ashram.
A Programme with Three Pillars
The camp combined three offerings that participants could choose individually according to their needs:
- Personal Ayurvedic consultations with Dr. Sushrut, including pulse diagnosis (Nadi Pariksha), assessment of the individual constitution (Prakriti) and current imbalance (Vikriti), as well as personalised diet and lifestyle advice.
- Therapeutic joint care treatments by two Ayurveda therapists, with localised medicated oil application (Snehana) and local herbal steam therapy (Swedana).
- Daily lectures and interactive practical sessions on the foundations of a healthy life according to Ayurveda.
Three Days – Three Themes
Day 1 – Digestive Health
The first day introduced the basics of Ayurveda and focused on digestion as the foundation of health: Agni, the digestive and metabolic fire, Ama, the metabolic toxins that arise when digestion is weak, and the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition and healthy eating. In the practical session, participants learned simple Ayurvedic home remedies to support healthy digestion.
Day 2 – Joint Health & Healthy Ageing
The second day was dedicated to joint health from the Ayurvedic perspective and to the prevention of Vata disorders, which play a central role in stiffness and pain as we grow older. The practical session demonstrated local oil application (Snehana) and local herbal steam therapy (Swedana).
Day 3 – Healthy Lifestyle According to Ayurveda
On the final day, the lecture addressed healthy sleep, stress management and the strengthening of our vitality and resilience – Ojas. The practical session showed how the Ayurvedic daily routine (Dinacharya) and simple self-care can be integrated into everyday life.
Thank You
Our heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Sushrut Sardeshmukh and his team of therapists, to the Om Ashram team for the warm hospitality and the local organisation, and to all participants who joined us for these three days.
We look forward to continuing this collaboration between Om Ashram, AYAC and BSDT.
