Ayurveda Basic Training Event 4

Dr. Sushrut Sardeshmukh, Professor of the BSTD's Ayurveda College, introduced us to the Ayurvedic method of diagnosis (Ayurvedic Nidan).
We learned about the skill of an Ayurvedic physician to diagnose an imbalance and bring it to equilibrium again. By understanding the signs and symptoms that precede a possible disease, we learned to better observe ourselves and behave accordingly.

This topic also gave us nice opportunities for hands-on exercises such as feeling each other’s pulse, watching eyes, tongue, skin, etc.
We were wonderfully fed by our nutrition expert Hemwati. On the International Day of Peace, we met at the first Peace tree, planted by Paramhans Swami Maheshwaranandaji in Vienna, the patron of our Ayurveda Academy of Yoga in Daily Life for meditation and prayers for peace and well-being for humans, animals, and vegetation.
